your source separated food scraps to the most
local organics recycling facility possible.

bags are prohibited.
• 64 gallon toters and rear-load containers can
be purchased or rented.
• Generators are responsible for the
cleanliness of their organics bins.
PRICING
• Price varies based on number of toter/
containers.
• Call or email to receive a free quote and
service information.
WHY RECYCLE YOUR FOOD SCRAPS?
• Take actionable steps towards your
company’s sustainability goals.
• Offset your trash costs by removing the
heaviest materials.
• Become a “Zero-Waste” operation.
• Reduce your greenhouse gas emissions.
• Rebuild local soils by providing nutrient rich
ingredients that help make compost.

NO: Including but not limited to…
• Trash
• Glass
• Metal
• Plastics
• Produce stickers
• Rubber bands and twist-ties
• Plastic and wax coated paper products
• Pet feces or litter
STORING:
• Store your toter or rear-load container where
you keep the rest of your waste and
recycling.
• Use a smaller container, where scraps are
created, for short-term storage and
transportation to your toter or rear-load
container.
• 5-gallon buckets are commonly used.
Containers larger than 10 gallons tend to
become too heavy to lift and dump safely.
COMPOSTABLE BAGS:
• Bags are optional, however, they do reduce
the amount of cleaning needed.
• Must be BPI Certified Compostable.
• Do not tie off the bags: food scraps trapped
in tied bags do not properly compost.
• It is more cost effective to use a larger bag
for your toters instead of smaller bags for
your kitchen containers.
CONTAMINATION POLICY:
• Contaminated toters or rear-load
containers will not be serviced. Customers
will be notified and provided with photo
documentation.
• Customers can either remove the
contaminants (if possible) or pay to have
that toter or container disposed of as trash.
PURCHASING
• Use re-usable items whenever possible.
• Switch your disposable items to
compostable disposable products.
• Reducing or eliminating the need to sort
will reduce the chances of contamination.
MAXIMIZE THE VALUE AND IMPACT
OF YOUR ORGANICS SERVICE
• The cost of commingled recycling and
trash is on the rise.
• The more heavy food waste you remove
from your trash, the more you can offset
the cost of your trash pick-up.
• Reduce your use of petroleum-based
disposable plastics by switching to plant-
based compostable items.
